When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result into some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for telling them ‘go back.’ Even if Chris never hit me again, who’s to say that their boyfriend won’t. Who’s to say that they won’t kill these girls? These are young girls, and I could not…I just didn’t realize how much of an impact I had on these girls’ lives until that happened. 

I know. She’s not back with him, and I don’t care that she’s forgiven him. That’s not my problem with this whole mess. If you must forgive him, do it and move on like she apparently has. Please don’t make it a media spectacle that sends a horrible message to her young and impressionable fans.

A collaboration and his triumphant return to the Grammys and recent award are all essentially telling the young people who comprise some of her fan base that it’s ok to go back…exactly what she said she didn’t want to happen back in the day.

When you’re in the public eye, the rules are different, but nobody who is controlling the strings seems to care. Sadly, a lot of people only care about the shit ton of money they’ll be making off of this. What’s sad is that a lot of money will be made off of this.
